Last night, I dreamt

That I was simply

Not enough.

Not enough girl.

Not enough boy.

Simply not enough.

Not enough sugar.

Not enough spice.

Not enough to make

Someone look twice.

It made me sad to

Know that I was

Simply not enough.

Today, I woke up

And simply said

i. am. enough.

Enough sugar.

Enough spice.

Enough to make

Someone look twice.
