Communication is key

These words I spoke.

There's a key to unlock

The feelings of love.

For some, this key

Is one of action.

Action expresses 

Louder than words.

Cooking. Cleaning.

Doing for others

An expression of love.

For others, this key

Is one of words.

An expression of one's

Thoughts and feelings.

I care for you.

I appreciate you.

I'm proud of all

That you have done.

For certain others, this

Key is one of a physical

Touch. A hug. A kiss.

An intimate expression.

That key communicates

To another expressions

Of comfort, passion,

And yes - love.

Still for others, none

Of these communicate

More so than a gift.

Surprise or otherwise.

A teacup. Chocolate.

Perhaps a favorite

Flower. Meaning shared

Between two people.

Keys are unique for

This is what I know.

For some quality time

Together this love shows.

A moment in a room

Separate or shared

Activities it need not

Matter. Together in time.

Communication is key.

Therefore, fine tune the

Expression you speak

To unlock this love.

You have given me some

Of the happiest memories.

I wish I didn't have to go.

I am only leaving to come

Back soon. I'm keeping a

Part of you with me.

I shall see you again.

This is not farewell.

It's a holiday, or because

We made that intimate

Decision as a start to

This amazing day.

Joy-FULL is my heart

Because you are on

My journey. You are

The one I hold in my

Heart every day.

Joy-FULL is my soul.

The core of my being.

We're on this ride in

This great big world

Of ours - together.

Joy-FULL because of

This beauty of you

Both inside and out,

Where decisions are

Made as one unit.

Today, we went to

That "all in" place.

And I couldn't be

Much needed relaxation.

All smiles and you.

An evening with questions

About improving life to

Difficulties in self-honesty.

A meal to be remembered?

Maybe, but more so the

Quality of time well spent.

Great evening snuggles

And good morning kisses.

Memories in these moments.

This is the foundation of

Deep connection, intimacy,

And trust beyond measure.

Free to be me.

Free to be you.

Freedom to just be.

At ease, restful serenity.

That's the feeling of comfort.

That's the  feeling of us.

I found my person.

The one that allows

Me to not only give in

Abundance, but receive

The one that empowers

And encourages me to

Be my authentic self.

The one that recognizes

My heart while showing

Appreciation for my all.

The one that acknowledges

The gamut of emotions felt

Around our adult children.

The one that cares

So deeply for me daily

And I also for her.

I truly have found

My person.

What can be 

Written? What 

Can be held?

Intentions...

Aim or plan? 

This is what

I envisioned.

This here moment.
